The PROTIG 231 DC FV is a pulsed DC TIG welding generator, very compact and portable. Its PFC technology allows it to operate from 85 V to 265 V and to achieve a very stable electric arc even on 100 m site extension cords. In stick welding, its Pulsed MMA mode facilitates vertical-up welds.

This inverter technology unit makes electrode welding easier thanks to direct current and its low power consumption
(230V-16A power supply).

It has an adjustment range of 10 to 170 A.
The digital amperage display allows you to be more precise in your work.

TIG welding allows you to weld thin thicknesses that you could not achieve with an electrode in MMA mode.

Welding possible on steel, stainless steel, copper, nickel... from 0.5 mm thickness.

TIG welding mode requires the use of a shielding gas during the welding operation (pure Argon).

Arc striking is achieved by touching the tip of the tungsten electrode to the metal workpiece and lifting it slightly to create the welding arc (TIG-LIFT striking method).

It features protection (+/- 15% variation) against electrical overloads, allowing it to be powered by a generator. However, the generator must supply a stabilized current.

Equipped with the following systems:

This machine allows welding with tungsten electrodes (TIG welding) steel, stainless steel, copper, nickel ...including aluminium .

It also allows welding with rutile or basic electrodes (MMA welding kit optional).

It also features the PULSE function particularly suited for welding thin plates where low heat input to the workpiece is required and adapted for welding in all positions.
As the pulse frequency increases, arc stability increases and therefore welding precision improves as well.
It also features the EASY PULSE system allowing immediate pulsed mode welding even if the welder is not familiar with TIG welding, thanks to automatic parameter adjustment
