Compliance with this EN 60974-1 standard by the manufacturer guarantees that the equipment produced is intended for industrial and professional use, and that with regard to the rules relating to electromagnetic compatibility, this equipment is rated class A.
It is your responsibility to check the following points before any use
- That the electrical network used when operating this type of equipment is properly earthed

LE LORRAIN is the French manufacturer of flame welding equipment recognised by numerous professionals. For more than 70 years, it is the Hampiaux company that has been creating and manufacturing flame welding equipment under the LE LORRAIN brand. All their equipment enjoys an excellent reputation among steelmaking and metallurgical industries, boilermakers, craftsmen and refrigeration engineers.
The Hampiaux company, which designs and manufactures the LE LORRAIN range of welding equipment at its Nancy facility, was founded on 1 May 1946 by Charles Hampiaux and his son Claude, who is still today Chairman of the Board of Directors and remains very involved in the company. The Labour Day of 1946 brought luck to these two craftsmen, as a few years later the small family workshop became a dynamic Nancy-based SME with a strong focus on exports. Charles and Claude Hampiaux were above all precision turners, and part of their success certainly lies in the integration of this speciality within their company. All families of LE LORRAIN blowtorches, regulators and accessories are in fact machined, assembled and individually tested in the Nancy workshops. More than 70 years after its founding, the Hampiaux company continues to affirm its commitment to investing so that the company keeps gaining in competitiveness and innovation.
The company manufactures 95% of its production in-house, across four product ranges: blowtorches, regulators, non-return valves and quick-release couplings across a total of four workshops. All products are the result of long-standing expertise, from the precision turning of parts to assembly and testing. Among the innovations and flagship products of the LE LORRAIN brand, one can notably cite the DDI regulator which has completely resolved the overpressure difficulties associated with the use of gas welding equipment.
